1-2-1 Dog Training
Personalised training, built around you and your dog.
Whether you’re working on everyday manners, recall, loose lead walking, countersurfing, barking, jumping up, focus around distractions or simply want to feel more confident training your dog, 1-2-1 sessions give you dedicated support tailored to your individual needs.

How Can 1-2-1 Training Help?
Every dog and owner is different, which is why 1-2-1 training is tailored around the areas that matter most to you. Whether you're starting from scratch or need a little extra guidance with everyday training, we'll work together at a pace that suits you and your dog. Common training struggles can include:
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Recall
Building a reliable response and helping your dog stay connected with you around distractions.
Lead Walking
Making walks calmer and more enjoyable for both ends of the lead.
Engagement
Helping your dog learn to check in with you and stay focused in everyday situations.
Calmness & Settling
Teaching your dog the skills to relax and switch off when they need to.
Everyday Manners
Working on things such as jumping up, impulse control and calmer greetings.
Confidence Building
Supporting your dog to feel more comfortable and confident as they navigate the world.
How 1-2-1 Training Works
Getting started is simple. We’ll begin by talking through what’s happening, what you’d like to work on and what life with your dog currently looks like. From there, we can build a plan that works for both of you.

Ongoing Support
You can continue with follow-up sessions as needed, giving us the chance to build on progress, adjust the plan and keep moving forward together.
Sessions & Pricing
Once you’ve submitted an enquiry, I’ll get in touch to arrange a date and time that works for us both. Once your session is booked, I’ll send you a more detailed consultation form to complete beforehand. This gives me important background about you and your dog, so I can come to our first session prepared and we can spend more of our time focusing on the training itself.
Your initial consultation lasts up to 90 minutes. We’ll talk through the areas you’d like help with, discuss your goals and put together a practical, personalised plan for moving forward. Where appropriate, we may begin with management strategies as part of your wider training plan.
Within one week of your consultation, you’ll receive a written summary and personalised training plan, outlining what we discussed, what we’ll be working on and the next steps for you and your dog.
Sessions are available in Colne and surrounding areas.
The initial 90-minute consultation cost is £55. After this, subsequent 60-minute follow-up sessions are £45.
Prices include travel within 10 miles of Colne. A small travel supplement applies for locations further afield.

Multi-session packages are also available — get in touch to discuss the best option for you and your dog.
Please note: Kahu Dog Training focuses on training and everyday training challenges rather than complex behavioural cases. If your dog has a bite history, shows significant aggression, or I feel their needs fall outside my scope of practice, I’ll be open and honest with you and recommend seeking support from an appropriately qualified behaviour professional. Where appropriate, I may recommend speaking with your vet as part of this process.
